Our Services

Restoration, not replacement.

Every object we receive is different — the metal, the age, the damage, the finish someone remembers. What we do next depends on what the piece actually needs, decided after a proper look, not a guess.

Copper & Brass

Copper & Brass Restoration

What it is — Cleaning, de-tarnishing and refinishing of copper and brass objects: vessels, nilavilakku and other traditional lamps, plates and decorative pieces.

Suited for — Surface oxidation, dullness, dark patches and general loss of shine from age or storage.

Typical work — Hand and machine polishing, tarnish removal, buffing, and a protective finish where appropriate.

Deep pitting or old repairs may limit how close to "new" a piece can look — we'll tell you what to expect before starting.

Marble & Stone Idols

Marble Murti Restoration

What it is — Cleaning, polishing and repair of marble idols and statues — surface staining, yellowing, cracks, and joint repair.

Suited for — Marble murtis with yellowing, oil or ritual stains, surface dullness, fine cracks, or broken joints.

Typical work — Safe stain removal, surface honing and polishing, crack sealing with colour-matched filler, and joint stabilization.

Natural stone variations and deep subterranean oil stains require careful evaluation — feasibility is confirmed after inspection.

Resin & Synthetic Sculptures

Resin & Fiberglass Statue Restoration

What it is — Repair and refinishing of resin and fiberglass statues — chips, cracks, surface dullness, and colour fading.

Suited for — Contemporary or synthetic idols affected by surface wear, sun fading, edge chips, or structural fractures.

Typical work — Resin bonding, surface filling, sanding, colour restoration, and protective top-coating.

The flexibility and composition of composite materials vary — exact repair methods are determined after examining the object.

Colour Touch-Up & Detailing

Murti Repainting

What it is — Repainting and colour touch-up for idols where original paintwork has faded, chipped or discoloured, matching original colours where possible.

Suited for — Idols with flaking paint, facial feature wear, faded garments, or discoloured decorative details.

Typical work — Fine brushwork, colour matching, detail line restoration, eye expression work, and protective sealants.

Repainting respects the original aesthetic and iconography — all shade choices and work details are reviewed before starting.

Daily & Festival Use

Traditional Utensil Renewal

What it is — Renewal of everyday and festival-use utensils — thalis, lotas, katoris and kitchen brassware still in active use.

Suited for — Utensils used regularly that have dulled, stained or developed surface residue over time.

Typical work — Food-safe cleaning, polishing and finishing suited to items that will go back into daily use.

Utensils meant for cooking or serving are treated differently from purely decorative pieces — let us know how it's used.

Handled With Particular Care

Laddu Gopal & Religious Idol Care

What it is — Careful cleaning and restoration of Laddu Gopal, Krishna–Radha and other murti, including gilded and painted surfaces.

Suited for — Idols with dulled gilding, worn paint, tarnished ornamentation or surface grime from years of pooja.

Typical work — Gentle cleaning, re-gilding or touch-up where needed, and restoration of decorative detail.

Any work on painted or gilded surfaces is discussed with you first — idols are never treated without confirmation.

Metal, Marble & Stone

Statue & Decorative Object Restoration

What it is — Restoration of statues and decorative pieces across materials — metal, marble, granite, POP (Plaster of Paris) and other stone — along with showpieces and ornamental objects.

Suited for — Figures affected by tarnish, weathering, surface staining, chipping, hairline cracks or years of display, whatever they're made of.

Typical work — Cleaning and polishing for metal pieces; stain removal, surface cleaning and refinishing for marble, granite and stone; careful touch-up and repair for POP idols.

Structural damage or missing parts are assessed separately — not every repair is possible, and the right treatment depends heavily on the material, so we confirm this after inspection.

service-heritage-assessment.webp

Before Any Work Begins

Heritage / Antique Object Assessment

What it is — A dedicated evaluation for older or unusual pieces before any restoration begins.

Suited for — Objects of uncertain age, unclear material, or ones that feel too valuable to risk without an opinion first.

Typical work — Material and condition assessment, photography, and a written recommendation on what restoration is realistic.

Some heritage pieces are better left minimally treated. If that's the honest answer, we'll say so.

Not Sure Where It Fits?

Custom Restoration

What it is — For objects that don't fit neatly into a category — unusual materials, combinations, or specific requests.

Suited for — Anything you're unsure about. If in doubt, send a photo and ask.

Typical work — Discussed individually, based on the object and the outcome you'd like.

Every custom request begins with a conversation, not a fixed process.

Accessory & Adornment Care

Ornamentation & Jewellery Work

What it is — Restoration and replacement of idol ornamentation — nag mala (snake garland), moti mala (pearl garland), crowns, and other accessory pieces.

Suited for — Idols with missing or damaged ritual adornments, dull crowns, broken beadwork, or worn ornamental metalwork.

Typical work — Custom accessory craft, re-beading, gilding, crown repair, and precise fitting for a wide range of idol adornments.

This service covers a wide range of custom accessory work without exhaustive fixed specifications — every piece is fitted to order after assessment.

Material, Up Close

Every metal ages differently.

Copper darkens. Brass dulls unevenly. Gilded surfaces wear thin at the edges. Knowing how a material behaves is most of the work — the polishing comes after.

Before We Decide

Every object tells us what it needs.

Two brass lamps of the same age can need completely different treatment — one has been stored away and just needs cleaning; the other has been handled daily and worn thin in places that can't take heavy polishing.

Material

What it's made of

Copper, brass, bronze and plated metals all respond differently to cleaning and polishing.

Condition

How it has aged

Surface tarnish, deep pitting, old repairs and structural wear all call for different approaches.

Intended Use

What happens next

A piece going back into daily use is treated differently from one meant purely for display.

Why Assessment Matters

We won't promise a result we can't deliver.

Not every object can return to its original condition. Very old plating, certain repairs, or damage beneath the surface can limit what's realistically possible — and we'd rather tell you that upfront.

Every restoration begins with a look at the actual piece — through photographs first, and in person where required — before we confirm any work or cost.

  • Material and alloy
  • Extent of existing damage
  • Any earlier repairs
  • Structural condition
  • Intended use after restoration

Have an unusual piece? Send us a photo.

If you're not sure which category it fits into, that's alright — we'll work it out together.
